OKECHUKWU JANEFRANCES WINS CLARET ESSAY COMPETITION 2022
Writing is an art as well as a science. At Claret Academy Secondary School Gariki Enugu State, the students are carefully groomed in this great skill through termly essay competitions.
The theme of the 2nd Terms Essay competition this year was "The Troubles with Nigeria and the way forward" A lot of students participated by forwarding articles which were carefully scrutinised by the English language department of the school.
After the rigorous examination, Ms. Janefrances Okechukwu, the Deputy Senior Prefect in Ss2A class, emerged the winner with 98%. Her article is titled "Terrorism: A Sorrow of my Fatherland".
A cash gift was presented to her during the closing mass of the school on the 13th of April, 2022 by the School Principal, Fr. Matthew Mmuo cmf.
Other gifts were presented to the next 4 runners-up whose articles were also superb. They include:
2nd - Ugwuegbulam Sixtus (Ss1)
3rd - Asogwa Blessing (Ss2)
4th - Eze Joy (Jss2)
5th - Nwobodo Michael (Jss1)
