The 3rd of February, 2023 was and will continue to be a memorable day indeed for the staff and students of Claret Academy Secondary School, Gariki, Enugu State, Nigeria.
The day, which was coincidentally, also the Orientation day and Open day for new parents of the school, was filled with joy and smiles from the first bell of school opening to the last bell of school closing.
The reason being that our dear friends from Our Lady of Lourdes parish, Malverne, New York, USA blest us with a new year gift of a standard school bus. The parents and staff were so happy, but their happiness was indeed stunted by the overwhelming joyful noise and expressions of gladness by the students.
We thank the Pastor, his team and our beloved friends/ parishioners at Our Lady of Lourdes parish. You have been a blessing to us. We will always keep you in our prayers.
We cannot appreciate enough the instrumentality of our former director, Fr. Eugene Umeyor, through whom this great gift was engineered and delivered to us. God bless you dear Father.
